# Key dates and deadlines

Learn about the dates and deadlines that apply to your Adobe VIP Marketplace subscriptions.

You can change your Adobe VIP Marketplace subscriptions at most times during your term, but some changes have deadlines, especially around your anniversary date. This helps you plan returns, renewals, and other changes in time.

All dates are counted in US Pacific time (PT), the time zone Adobe uses. The date in Pacific time can be different from the date where you are.

### Key dates at a glance

The following table describes the key dates and deadlines:

| What                                                    | When                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           |

### Orders around your anniversary date

You cannot place change, configuration, or termination orders on the day before your anniversary date or on the anniversary date itself. This includes:

* Adding items to an agreement.
* Increasing or reducing license quantities.
* Turning auto-renewal on or off.
* Terminating a subscription or canceling an agreement.

If you try, the order is refused with the message: *"Orders cannot be placed within 24 hours of the renewal date. Please wait until after the renewal date and make your required changes with Change, Configuration, or Termination Orders."*

For example, if your anniversary date is 15 March, you cannot place these orders on 14 March or 15 March (Pacific time). Place them by 13 March, or wait until 16 March.

### Renewal planning window

The renewal wizard is open from 30 days to 2 days before your anniversary date. In this window, you can renew now or plan your renewal for your anniversary date. You can change a plan for your anniversary date until the window closes. After that, your subscriptions renew as they're currently set up.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.platform.softwareone.com/extensions/adobe-vip-marketplace/key-dates-and-deadlines.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
