# Preferences and Settings

Preferences and settings help you customize your Marketplace Platform account, so you can work more efficiently across accounts and pages, and data views. 

Use the topics in this section to update your profile, change what you see in tables (data grids), control notifications, and get quick access to the pages you use most.

You can manage your individual preferences from your profile menu in the header (for example, by selecting **My profile**). However, some settings can only be managed at the account level by administrators from the [Settings ](https://docs.platform.softwareone.com/modules-and-features/settings)area.
