# Update the title for a chat

You can update the title of your case to easily identify it later.&#x20;

Case titles are generated by default based on the initial description provided when the case is created. You can change the title to make it meaningful and concise.&#x20;

### Updating the title for a chat

To update the title:

1. Go to the **Chats** page.&#x20;
2. 3. Select the case you want to update.&#x20;
4. Select the actions icon (**•••**) in the chat window, then choose **Edit**.
5. In the **Edit chat** dialog, enter the new title, then select **Save**. The title is updated immediately.
