# Rename certificates

If you have multiple certificates for the same vendor program, you can choose different names for those certificates so you can identify them easily. Certificates can be renamed regardless of their current status.

You can rename a certificate either from the **certificate details** or the **program details** page. When updating the name, we recommend providing a unique name.

#### Renaming a certificate from the certificate details page

To rename a certificate from the certificate details page:

1. Open the **Certificates** page.
2. Select the certificate to rename.
3. 4. In the **Rename** dialog, enter the new name.
5. Select **Save**.

#### Renaming a certificate from the program details page

To rename a certificate from the program details page:

1. Open the **Programs** page.
2. Select the program related to the certificate you want to rename.
3. On the **program details** page, select the **Certificates** tab.
4. Select the desired certificate.
5. 6. In the **Rename** dialog, enter the new name, then select **Save**.

Your certificate is renamed, and the new name is reflected on all pages displaying the certificate within the platform.
