# Customize notification settings

The **Settings** tab allows account admins to configure settings, including the sender name and the content within the email footer. The settings apply to all notification emails.

### Customize settings

To configure settings:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Notifications**.
2. Select the **Settings** tab.
3. Select **Edit**.
4. Update the following details:
   * **Sender name** – Enter the display name that will appear in your emails. This name is shown to the recipient, so we recommend using a clear and meaningful sender name.
   * **Custom footer** – Add the information you want to include in the footer of your notification emails. The details you provide appear alongside the standard platform footer.
5. Select **Save**.

The **Preferred language** field displays the communication language selected for your account. This field is view-only. To change the preferred language, use the **Edit** option on the [Account page](/modules-and-features/settings/account.md). For more information, see [Update account details](broken://pages/SjVmDte1naF0fdm0aWw7).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.platform.softwareone.com/modules-and-features/settings/notifications/edit-notification-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
