Terminate Microsoft 365 Agreement
This tutorial describes how you can terminate your Marketplace agreement by placing a termination order for the agreement.
When you terminate your agreement, all subscriptions within that agreement are terminated.
Prerequisites
Before starting this tutorial:
Make sure that the agreement you wish to terminate is active. Agreements in any other state cannot be terminated.
Make sure you are familiar with the platform and can navigate to the agreement you want to terminate.
Terminating an agreement
Open the agreement you want to terminate
To open the agreement:
Navigate to the Agreements page.
From the list of agreements, select the agreement to terminate.
On the agreement details page, select the arrow
, then choose Terminate to start the Terminate Agreement wizard.
Follow the steps to terminate the agreement
In the Terminate Agreement wizard, complete the following steps:
Items - Verify that all subscriptions show the new quantity as 0 and select Next.
Order details - Enter the reference information for the agreement and the order, then select Next.
Review order - Review the order details. When done, select Place order to submit the termination order.
Summary - Select View order to navigate to the order details page. Otherwise, select Close to exit the wizard.
Next steps
A termination order is created for the agreement and submitted to the vendor for processing.
After you place the order, the agreement status changes from Active to Updating. You will not be able to place any additional orders under this agreement.
Once the termination order is processed, the status of the agreement and all subscriptions within the agreement change to a Terminated state.
